Happy New Year 2009

Hello! I hope everyone is doing fine.
This new year's holidays are passing very fast! We have only 3 days left until the first day of work.

As usual, I cooked new year's food (Osechi) on the 31st. It took me a day to complete it... whew! We had it for our brunch and dinner today with white zoni soup. Somehow, I was so drowsy all day long that I took a nap until evening.





Then we went to hatsumoude (new year's visits to shrine). There we pray for a wish to come true. My wish is always the same. There is nothing more valuable than staying healthy!!!

    Your Osechi dish is beautiful, I love the way you display your wonderful food. I wish I could taste it all, especially the soup!

    You must have been exhausted to sleep.

    I always start New Years sick! When we went to Christmas gathering for my husbands side, there were a few sick.

    Thank goodness my husband and daughter are ok! I've been very miserable with this head cold! I hope they find a cure for the cold someday!

    You are smart to wish for health, my mom always did too!

    I wanted to blog post picture of my Christmas cookie platter but I entered it a contest, with an essay! I hope to be a finalist like you! :)

    How is your cold now? I hope you are doing fine.
    My holidays were so short that I couldn't sleep that much after that :(
    I had a lot to do but couldn't do all as well...
