Hawaiian Dinner Show

Yesterday, my darling and I've been to Hawaiian restaurant called "LOCO'S TABLE MAHANA" in Ebisu (Tokyo). My favorite hula teacher (team Makani Lua'Ole) dances here, so we go there once in a while. I enjoyed a lot♥

BTW, hula dancing is my hobby for 2 years since there is a FREE class at the gym I go. I don't think I want to pay to learn. LoL I share my hula dancing videos on YouTube with my blog buddies or Tipness (gym) members ;D Not professional, so I just share with limited people. hehe

Anyways, I changed my hair color yesterday since I have to attend a wedding reception this weekend. Of course I used "KAO Prettia Bubble Hair Coloring: Natural Ash"!

Have a good day!!!

Yakiniku

Once in a while, we go out to eat Yakiniku (grilled meat).

I love vegetables and well done lean beef and chicken, while most Japanese can eat offal meats. Ew X(

We didn't have the Korean-style Yakiniku, but many Japanese Yakiniku restaurants have Bibimbap on their menu. We love to finish with it. hehe

Why we've been to Yakiniku resutaurant?! You'll know why soon ;D

SAKE HALL HIBIYA BAR

On Saturday, my darling and I've been to SAKE HALL HIBIYA BAR in Ginza (after the Hello Kitty Art Exhibition).

My darling said he found the restaurant on the newspaper. His choice was perfect. I really loved the idea of enjoying sake in many ways :)

Not only the cocktails but also their foods are made from sake (sake lees)!

SAKE HALL No.1 Herb Sonic (with rosemary)

Their recommended refreshing sake: Oniwaka (鬼若) and Gokujyo Yoshinogawa (極上 吉乃川)

Carpaccio Salad with Italian Sake Dressing

Sake Lees Quiche with Mushrooms

Sake Lees and Miso Stir-Fried Pork and Cabbage on top of Squid Ink Daikon

Fried Avocado with Sake Lees Tartar Sauce

Sake Lees Ochazuke

I enjoyed a lot :D

Tom Yum Goong

I am finally posting something about last Saturday. It's already Friday! I can't believe it!!!

So on Saturday my darling and I've been to a Thai food restaurant called "Tom Yum Goong (トムヤムクン)" near home. I heard their Thai food is delicious, and it was TRUE!!! There were two Thai ladies in the kitchen and we were amazed by how fast they cook. hehe

Of course we ordered their popular menus♥

Paoh Peay Sod

Stir-Fried Shrimp and Broccoli (their special menu flavored with oyster sauce)

Pad Gapao Gai (Thai Basil Chicken)

Gaeng Keow Wan Gai (Green Curry with Chicken)

All foods were authentic and tasty! I think their Nampler (Fish Sauce) is different!

Since they are located too close, we postponed to visit there but we should have gone there sooner!!! We will definitely go back again!!!

寿恵川 (Suekawa)

Hi there!

On the weekend, I had unagi (eel) at 寿恵川 (Suekawa)!!! In Japan, it is said that you can gain strength by eating unagi especially in summer!

But to tell the truth, I don't really like unagi... so, I tried out the one that people say it's good to see how I'd like it ;)

We first enjoyed their appetizer (sunomono) and cold sake, since it takes 30 minutes to cook unagi. LoL

So, here are the unajyu (eel served on rice) we had!

The first image is my darling's unajyu (松), which costs about 30 bucks.

I tried the smallest one (梅) but it still costs 17 bucks.

Believe it or not, I really could eat this unagi!!! Yay!!! It was amazingly delicious :D It is something that we can't make it at home since the tare (eel sauce) and the eel are different!!!

I think it was worth to try :D

But I don't think I can eat chewy fish or fish offal even if it's the best grade. Or, any kind of offal meat at Yakiniku. haha

Can you?!

Bye for now!

八昌 (Hasho)

Good morning :D

On Saturday, we finally had the famous hiroshimayaki (okonomiyaki with yakisoba) at 八昌 (hasho)! Yay! Crispy pork in between was distinctive. Yummy!!!!!!!

Their teppanyaki seafood was delish, too! I liked their sake called 誠鏡 (seikyo).

Their guts stew (もつ煮) is also famous but I can't eat, so we didn't order... can you eat guts kind?!

Yes. The festival (omatsuri) was held near home. But not that many food stalls. There were many kids dancing bon odori. hehe

At night we saw fireworks from the balcony. My darling took the pic :D

Yesterday we had a really bad thunderstorm in Tokyo due to the typhoon approached Okinawa. Now the weather is fine and too hot expecting high 93F (34C)!

I hope I can start editing my new video today.

See ya!!!

Rakan-Jaya

On Saturday, my darling and I went to Kyodo station to have a famous okonomiyaki there but the restaurant was filled as soon as it opened... so we gave up. Usually they don't take a reservation but the sales clerk let us reserve for the next Saturday :D

At that evening, we walked around Kyodo station and my darling found an izakaya called らかん茶屋 (Rakan-Jaya). We searched the net and was highly rated, so we gave it a try!

Their recommended sashimi for two was amazing!

All foods were delish!!!

I think I will go there again :D

BTW, I am still editing the next video since I was busy yesterday. oops.

Jyoshikai @ Kyodo

Last night I had dinner with two girls in Kyodo. I seldom get off at Kyodo station but I heard there are many nice restaurants there!!!

We tried 2 restaurants last night :D

The first restaurant is called alden. They serve nice and cozy Italian foods.

The second restaurant is popular, SALVATORE CUOMO. Their location is nice, actually! They have a nice lawn in front. We had wine outside and was really relaxing!!!

We had a nice girls' talk there. hehe

BTW, how often do you (girls only) eat out with girls?! We call this kind of gathering 女子会 (jyoshikai) "girls' meeting" in Japanese.

JUMBO Ebi Katsu

On Saturday morning, I had a dream eating JUMBO Ebi Katsu, so I had it for dinner to make it come true!!! Luckily, it was offered with 10% summer discount :D And a glass of beer was 50% off! (I don't drink beer, though.)

Actually in my dream, I couldn't eat it since I woke up when I realized... I told my darling why he woke me up (maybe he didn't...) but he said he knows nothing, of course. Sometimes I'm sleep-fogged, never mind!

Their appetizer tofu was really nice with wasabi :D

I wore my everyday hoodie since I got up late and didn't feel like dressing up. LoL I totally understand what Kym said before. Hoodies are my go-to item of clothing!

Katsukura is my favorite tonkatsu restaurant! We've tried many other tonkatsu restaurants, but I think here is the best!!!

Last but not least, I edited a new video last night but damn iMovie again didn't save the project... I wonder why this happens often (I gotta call Apple)! My one-hour-work ended up nothing X(

CHOJIRO

Monday was a holiday (Marine Day) so my darling and I went to the gym, had Hawaiian lunch, shopped at Futakotamagawa, and had dinner at kaiten-zushi (conveyor belt sushi) called CHOJIRO.

CHOJIRO was a pretty fancy Kyoto-style sushi restaurant and I really loved their sushi!!! It wasn't that expensive than I thought!!! I loved Avocado Tuna since their avocado was huge :D I will go back there again!!!

Speaking of shopping, many Spring stuff were 70% off so I could finally say CUTE and get some clothes at Jill Stuart. (because I don't even think or say it's cute when the price is too high. LoL)

My darling bought me earrings at a different store, so I wore that in my next video :D

My outfit on that day! I carried my Spring COACH bag which was 30% off in NY. Still nice in Summer!

Have a good one :D
