MOS BURGER

Do you know MOS BURGER?

My darling and I go there once in a while. Their most popular burger is "MOS burger". We love this burger the most! Juicy beef and pork patty with their original meat sauce is distinctive :D

Recently, we tried their "superb cheese burger" and that was delicious, too! As you can see (on the left bottom image), the patty is larger than the buns! It has roasted onion soy sauce with a hint of black pepper in between which makes it really tasty! Speaking of "luxury MOS burger", it is twice as big as the regular MOS burger. It looks cool, but too difficult to eat. Since you focus on how to eat, it doesn't actually do the trick... Their rice burgers are yummy, but unfortunately they aren't many different kinds available lately... I love kinpira, though :P

MOS BURGER is now located in Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, China and Indonesia.

Try it out!!!

FYI:
'M' stands for Mountain - dignified and noble.
'O' stands for Ocean - wide and vast.
'S' stands for sun - vibrant and life-giving.

Green Cola

Here comes another funny Cola product by Asahi Soft Drinks Co., Ltd. on 5/25/2010!

For your natural life, "Green Cola" is made from selected raw materials derived from plants such as fruits, with cola's own dynamism and briskness. No artificial color, no caffeine, and no preservative used.

By using the technique of black beer manufacturing, it's taste is as strong as cola drinks. Plant-derived scent is used for it's fresh scent. Hence it's name "Green"!

"Green Cola" markets to the older crowd in their 20's and 30's, and the next material-derived cola drink will come to market this summer!

Changing my story, my dearest wedding dress coordinator is going to leave the job this June... I knew it last night and the shock simply doesn't go away X(

I think I am really out of luck!!!

Anyway, tonight I am seeing my friend after 15 years or more! I used to play with her while we lived in Jordan.

Have a good weekend!!!

PEPSI NEX Promotion: LE CREUSET Miniature Accessory

Followed by the free Dean and Deluca Magnet promotion, now 500ml PEPSI NEX comes with a free LE CREUSET miniature accessory (cell-phone strap)! There are 3 different types (Ramekin D'amour, Ramekin Fleur, and Ramekin Etoile) in 6 different colors (red, pink, orange, green, white, and blue). Aren't they neat!?

Le Creuset, as you might know, is a French cookware manufacturer best known for its colorful enameled cast iron casseroles. Their products are pretty popular among Japanese homemakers. There are many cute shapes (star, heart, flower shapes) and colors (such as pastel colors) available in Japan.

PEPSI NEX is a leader product of PEPSI Cola Japan (which Suntory plays a full part). The product was originally made in Japan in 2006. Adapted to the Japanese palate, it's 100% calorie-free with a refreshing lemon flavor.

Last promotion was for 1.5 litter PEPSI NEX, so it wasn't easy to get one, but this time is for 500 milliliter PEPSI NEX, so people can get it without hesitation! After I bought one bottle as a trial, they were all sold out in the afternoon when I returned to get another! Damn X(

Anyway, I look forward to the next promotion :D

What Kind Of Beer Do You Like?

During the trip in Hokkaido, we had a lot of beer!

What kind of beer do you like?

Actually, I prefer shochu-based beverage to beer, but Otaru beer was pretty cool that their yeast is still alive when they serve!

At Sapporo Beer Museum, I found a box of beer flavored candies. What do you think?! Ha-ha!!!

Happy Friday :D

White Taiyaki

Have you ever tried white taiyaki?

Taiyaki (literally "baked sea bream") is a Japanese fish-shaped sweet cake. The most common filling is azuki (red bean paste).

The new style of Taiyaki is white. It's batter is made of tapioca which has a mochi-like texture! My co-worker bought 尾長屋 (onagaya)'s famous white taiyaki for us to share: custard cream and sakura bean fillings! You can either serve hot (toasted) or cold (chilled in a fridge).

Anyway, tomorrow, my darling and I are leaving for Hokkaido! I will write about our trip later! I wish I could eat a lot of seafood (especially the crab) there :D

Talk to you again!!!

FRESHNESS BURGER

On Saturday, my darling and I tried burgers at FRESHNESS BURGER for the first time! They serve everything with delicious taste and safety standard. Their vegetables are freshly-picked from domestic farms, and use safe Aussie beef patties.

Their most popular burger is FRESHNESS BURGER! Their buns are made with pumpkin with natural yellow color. Juicy beef patties, thick slice of tomato, original meat sauce, and mayonnaise are sandwiched. Simple but really delicious!

The stores are located in many places in Japan, so I hope you try it if you find one!

Changing my story, today I am going to take a half day off to attend an event! Will write about it later ;)

Bye for now.

GINDACO

Have you ever tried Takoyaki?!

Takoyaki (literally fried or baked octopus) is a popular Japanese dumpling made of batter, diced or whole baby octopus, tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger, and green onion, topped with okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise, aonori (green laver), and katsuobushi (fish shavings).

This Saturday, my darling and I tried takoyaki at GINDACO. We see many GINDAKO stores in the city, so I was curious how they serve takoyaki. Their takoyaki was crisp outside and soft inside. It was super delicious! The image is Teriyaki Egg Mayonnaise on the left and Grated Radish Dashi Dip on the right. Both flavors were great :D

Anyway, in addition to my wedding stuff, my darling and I are currently looking for a house or a condo. There is a big reason to it (not a baby yet!).

I think I am kind of sick having a little sleep...
I mean, I'm fine at this moment, but feeling like I shouldn't overwork myself, you know...

Take care!!!

Ecological Oconomiyaki

Ecological cooking is to cook environmentally friendly foods. Using leftovers in the fridge can be an idea!

The other day I made Okonomiyaki using leftover fillings for Gyoza dumplings. Okonomiyaki is Japanese dish consisting of a pan-fried batter cake and various ingredients. The name of this dish means "cook what you like". I used leftover yam for the batter and dumpling fillings & cut vegetables for ingredients.

Please click on the button on this page to vote for my idea ;)

Anyway, last time I dined out to eat Okonomiyaki was two years ago! Time flies!!!

It is raining and cold again today.

Taneya

Last time I wrote about Nenrinya's Baumkuchen, but this one is about Taneya.

Baumkuchen is a kind of layered cake, known in many countries throughout Europe. Somehow, the cake is very popular in Japan and many Japanese-style confection store produce their original ones.

Taneya's baumkuchen is soft and moist, and it tastes delicious with a thin layer of icing outside! Not too sweet at all :D You can enjoy the same texture even if you keep it in the fridge! Days ago, my darling's parents sent it to him as a birthday present. It is also his younger brother's favorite cake. Their limited packages are really cute! They deliver nationwide in Japan. Sorry not overseas at this moment...

Anyway, this Saturday is going to be pretty busy doing our wedding stuff...

Have a good weekend!!!

Ago

Ago means tobiuo (flying fish) in the regional dialect. It is one of the local specialities in Hirado (Nagasaki).

At the very end of our dinner (Kaiseki-ryouri), we had Ago dashi soup. The soup was richer than bonito dashi and was very pleasant! I bought Ago soup for my souvenir :D

Another Ago we had was broiled Ago. It was served at our breakfast buffet! Broiled Ago is pretty hard but if you chew it well, you can be smart ;)

Ago is also used for soy sauce product! It uses less salt and has sweet & mild taste. It is perfect for sashimi or hidden flavor of your cooking!

Then last but not least, I found Ago cookies!!! They contain Ago powder! You can enjoy slight taste of Ago flavor. Interesting indeed!!!

There are many other Ago souvenirs in Hirado.
I hope you get a chance to visit there and find them!

It is finally sunny today but all the cherry blossoms were blown away by the spring storm...
Hopefully I will upload my hula video tomorrow! I just converted MP4 to AVI!

This is all for today ;)

Lion Coffee Macadamia

How often do you drink flavored coffee?

I don't usually drink flavored coffee but sometimes it is nice for a change.
Lion Chocolate Macadamia 20 oz. WB CoffeeFew weeks ago, I had a macadamia flavored coffee at a Hawaiian restaurant in Shibuya. Sweet aroma lets you save sugar! Although I don't add sugar in my coffee normally.

It is still cold today. Sakura trees are almost in full bloom! Tree light-up is taking place from tonight to Sunday. Unfortunately, we are going to miss the light-up since we are flying to Hirado this weekend. I found that they also hold sakura events, so we will see!

Tonight, my new pau skirt gonna arrive! This time I bought it without any waver!

Have a good one ;)

Addictive Mint Chocolates

Last week, I received a box of Chocolatier Erica's #1 leaf-shaped mint chocolates.

I don't really love to eat mint flavored chocolate, although I used to love to eat After Eights. Anyway, I just tried one piece, and was unexpectedly delicious!!! The light green part is mint chocolate (not sweet at all but refreshing) and the dark brown part is milk chocolate. Mmm yummy!!!

I have them on my desk at work. As you can see, I ate half of them... I can't stop picking up X(

How shall I stop gaining weight!?

Gotta brush my teeth to stop!!!

Apple Pie @ Cafe Dor

Hi there!

Yay or Jeez! My co-worker bought me a yummy apple pie while I had to watch my weight...

The apple pie was from Cafe Dor, close to my workplace.
It uses an apple called 紅玉(kougyoku: "Jonathan" in English) from Aomori prefecture. Baked slowly for 2 days in an oven, well balanced sweet and sour filling is made. It was really delicious in a crispy pie!

Why sweets in Japan are not sweet! They are too easy to eat, which is dangerous!!!

Anyway, it's already Friday and March is almost over. Time flies!!!

Monday is a holiday, substitute holiday for the Vernal Equinox Day, yay!

Have a good weekend :D

36 Sweets Factory on the Main Street

My co-workers gave me two huge cakes as a White Day gift! The guy who purchased them told me that he bought them at the same street vendor as last year (36sticks) but there was a different store name on the box (36 SWEETS FACTORY on the MAIN STREET) plus I couldn't find the website, so I have no idea where these are from.

Anyway, they were not that sweet, so I could eat them easily, which is really dangerous!!!

I need to burn the calories!

Leaving for the gym!!!
