Our Wedding Plan

Yesterday, my darling and I had a very busy day. We visited two wedding halls led by a wedding planner.

The halls we saw are not hotels, restaurants or guest houses. But we loved it! Believe it or not, we (actually, I...) made a snap decision without hesitation!

Luckily, the place was available on 2010/10/10. My darling suggested this date and I loved it, but all places we saw were already reserved, so I have almost given up!

I won't be writing things in detail until our wedding date, but it is going to be super CREATIVE with full of our ideas, if successful... he-he!

Can't wait to think about it with my darling :D

Arferique Shirogane

It was a super busy weekend again X( We visited 2 wedding salons this weekend since we realized we need to decide a date for our wedding by the end of the year to reserve a good date in 2010!!!

The first one was Arferique Shirogane. After looking at their webpage, we thought their pool is huge, but it wasn't! Needless to say, I think it is always good to visit the place to make sure!

On this day, there was an actual wedding ceremony. Funny but we peeped into the hall while people aren't in use.

The wedding salon was adjacent to the wedding hall, so they served us a sample dessert plate for the party. We had a plan to move over to the next salon, so it was a perfect snack! Especially for my darling! He cannot concentrate on things when he is starving... ha-ha.

The next salon was pretty interesting. We are going to visit their wedding halls on Wednesday the holiday (The Emperor's Birthday). I will write about it later when I get a chance.

Busy Monday! I already gave up to go to the GYM this afternoon. Whew...

Take care!!!

Wedding Surprise @ Hibiya Bar

Hi there! Freezing down at high 55F (13C) but we have a clear blue sky again :)

Last Friday, there was a co-worker year-end dinner party after work. I heard that they will use this opportunity to celebrate my wedding, so I didn't expect that much. Of course, I didn't want people to celebrate us since I have been with my boyfriend for a long time and the situation is different from other couples. However, surprisingly, they arranged an original cocktail menu for me! (It was printed on the menu!!!) They named it "Recipe Fountain", created in the image of me coming up with a lot of new recipe ideas! Ha-ha ;) The color of the cocktail was my favorite FUCHSIA PINK made from pink grapefruit juice, cassis, and soda! It was refreshing and delicious! Super thanks to all!

Hibiya Bar serves healthy foods! They were all prepared with light seasonings. I loved them all!!! All drinks were all you can drink for 3 hours. Their wine was great. I loved HobNob red wine!
On this day, my co-worker who opened a cafe and now work on her own came to see me, too! I haven't seen her for 2 years, so I'm glad to see her again. It was a touching and memorable day :D

Changing my story, yesterday, I took a day off to renew my driver's license and passport! I had to change my name after the marriage, so it was at just the right time to do so! Also, I had to go to the ward office. Plus, I had to make a new bank account. Whew... but I think I finished most of the painful paperwork!

I must make another important post today!

Will post soon!!!

XEX Daikanyama - Bridal Fair

Last Saturday, after 3 weeks, we finally attended the bridal fair! It was our first time to attend such an event. The event is usually available for one couple at the time. Personal wedding planner will guide you through the place for the wedding.

I love to cook, so I chose to see a restaurant ceremonial hall. XEX Daikanyama is a restaurant with an open kitchen! You can talk to cooks freely, so you can feel at home knowing what you are eating and enjoy!

On this day, there was a pizza event. Actually, I wasn't that interested in cooking pizza during the tour, but it was fun! He-he :D My darling made pizza dough. I made toppings. Then my darling placed it in the oven! Wow! In a huge oven (which is about 572F/300C), our pizza was done in a minute !!! Can you believe it?! It usually takes about 15 minutes by range oven at home.

I thought it is one of the good ways to entertain people in the party :D

After the tour, we had a dinner there! We tried their long arm shrimp pasta with american sauce and grilled chicken! Both were delicious!!! We enjoyed them along with a glass of wine :) I appreciate my darling for going to the tour together. I know he hates this kind!

Anyway, I will report about the next tour when we get a chance to go!

Hula tonight! Bye for now!

DECO CHOCO

Hi there!

On Sunday, my sister gave me a box of chocolates.
Don't you think it cool?!
Our picture is printed on each piece! After you ate them, you can re-use the chocolate wrappers for your original cell-phone charms or magnets!

TIROL-CHOCO is a manufacturer of cute and cheap square chocolates. Their collection is here. Mostly, you can find them at the cash register. This printed version is called DECO CHOCO (it stands for Chocolate Decoration). What a smart idea! I'm gonna order more for my return gifts or something :D

On Saturday evening, after 3 weeks, we finally went on a restaurant wedding tour in Daikanyama. The shopping mall near the restaurant was illuminated romantically! I will write about the restaurant tomorrow if I get a chance!

It's getting cold, so my boyfriend was sneezing all day long yesterday. I hope he didn't catch a cold.

Take care!!!

We Just Got MARRIED!!!

On November 22nd, we filed our marriage paper!!!

In Japan, 11/22 is a good married couple day. We read (as phonetic equivalent) 11 "ii" which means "good" and 22 "fu-fu" which means "married couple". Very simple, but we will never forget this date ;)

In the evening, my family threw us a surprise party at Yoga Club (dogs okay restaurant). Milk (our dog) came to celebrate us, too. Along with dinner, we had Mommessin's Beaujolais Nouveau. I think this brand is quite a hit this year! It was refreshing but tasty. We all liked it!

Milk also had a cake. We tried it before he ate. It wasn't sweet at all. The cream part was potato. The bottom part was a carrot cake with cinnamon flavor. We all thought the carrot part is edible. Ha-ha!

Anyway, thanks for your support!
We have lived together for 6 years, so nothing changes as husband and wife, but I am really happy now. I think all things happened between us are meaningful. I want to keep ALOHA in my heart and cherish our time together forever!

We will be happy :D

Loco Blue

Today, the weather was warm and super nice! I think it was hot rather than warm!!! The high temp was 73F (23C)! After the physical checkup, I hastened to the gym to attend the daytime hula class! I was just in time! Lucky me ;)

Writing about Friday evening, I went to the Hawaiian stores in Ebisu. As I heard from my classmates, there were a lot of flower lais! Unfortunately, pa'u skirts were pretty expensive, so I decided to get the pink one (the very left one) online! I can't wait to receive it! I'm gonna go back to the stores with the skirt this weekend or so to get a lei to match it!

For dinner, I reserved a cozy Hawaiian restaurant called "Loco Blue". Their cocktails were unique with Hawaiian aroma. They use drops of Hawaiian liqueur for standard cocktails such as gin and tonic! Foods there were delicious, too! I loved their tuna tempura (left bottom image). I would say this restaurant can be our choice for the wedding after party!

We dine out twice a week and now my bf told me that it is too much! Booooooo!!! But I half expected that lately, so I'm gonna be a good girl!

Today, I finally went to the ward office to get a marriage paper. I fight a lot with my boyfriend but I chose him because I need him in my life, and so does he. I am feeling happy day by day :D

Gotta go now. See you later!

Loco's TABLE MAHANA @ Ginza

Today the high is 66F (19C) not that bad!

On Monday, we've been to Hawaiian restaurant called "Loco's TABLE MAHANA" in Ginza. They organize Hawaiian wedding ceremony, so we went to see the place. The restaurant has an exotic Hawaiian look. It was raining hard and freezing outside on this day, but we totally forgot about the weather, which was cool :D

There was a hula dancing show when we got there! Their cocktails were cute with tropical flowers. Foods were creative and delicious! We tried fried orange mayo shrimp salad, pork and vegetables steamed in banana leaf, and ocean's pizza with crab meat, shrimp, squid, and tomato basil sauce!

We fight a lot but we now need to get some ideas for our wedding little by little. Last Sunday, my boyfriend was taking time reading a wedding magazine! Cool!!! I took his pic because it was a remarkable sight! He-he! I hope he actively does research for it. Yep! I won't be naggy!

Bocca Buona is the restaurant where we had a cup of coffee. The cake we had is a grape tart (in season). It was juicy and yummy!!!

Anyway, recently I found not only follower's gadget but also twitter gadget disconnects the Internet at home! Whenever I open my blog or my buddies' blogs with either or both of them, it disconnects! Sucks! Maybe it means I shouldn't blog all the time...

I have more to write but will stop now.

Hula class tonight, again!

Aloha :)

Summer 2009 in New York

Our days in NY were really fast. Luckily, we enjoy fine weather with blue sky almost daily. I can't believe we are back in Japan now X(

I will select and post pics briefly since I fall behind in everything.

Bethesda Fountaint in Central Park with my boyfriend.
CHEESEBURGER Platter at Jackson Hole - topped with American Cheese with Bacon, Served with Steak Fries, Lettuce and Tomato. I ordered Veggie version of BALDOUNI BURGER instead of meat (which was light, healthy and delicious!): Topped with Fried Onions, American Cheese & Sautéed Mushrooms. We visited Ground Zero. Surprisingly, the site was still under construction. We had back and forth Staten Island Ferry trips. The ferry is free from lower Manhattan to Staten Island. However, since I had a glass of wine at Jackson Hole, I slept back and forth on the ferry...

The High Line: a 1.45-mile (2.33 km) section of the former elevated freight railroad of the West Side Line, in Chelsea along the lower west side of Manhattan.
Green grass and flowers coming out from railway tracks were beautiful. We had a nice walk ;)

July 4th dinner at our favorite restaurant josie's east. Grilled Natural Chicken Breast Teriyaki and Freshly Ground Char-Grilled Brandt Natural Beef Cheeseburger. We saw fireworks way back to hotel through 42nd Street.

We had brunch at Sarabeth's Kitchen. Their Popeye Eggs were really delicious!!! The weather was super fine on this day. We found many bridal couples at Central Park. How romantic :)

Don't you think these sculptures funny?! Water from Hello Kitty and Miffy's eyes... They were located in front of an office building.

We had a special dinner at David Burke which was $20.09! You can get an appetizer, main course and dessert of your choice ;) Everything was great for our last dinner in NY.

On the very last day, before the bus time, we went to Central Park. Under the clear blue sky, we had sandwiches and coffee for breakfast. I wished time could stop for us. Believe it or not, guess what my boyfriend said?!
"Let's come back again next year after the marriage."
Was that his proposal?!?! I was super happy. It was something more than I expected.

I need to confirm him about it, though. Ha-ha!!!
