DEAN & DELUCA

On Saturday, we went to DEAN & DELUCA for lunch. Their new panini (tomato, basil, and mozzarella cheese) was simple and great! I loved it!!! Also, we shared the crab sandwich and jambalaya which we had before. Yummy! Simple but made us happy :)

I took off my braces on that morning which I think made me eat things more happily!

Anyway, their "Super Premium Ice Cream" wasn't available on this day :( I remember someone said the same thing, but I love to eat ice cream when it's cold in a warm room. He-he!

P.S. tma, let me know if you need a recipe. I will translate it for you whenever I have time!

Lunch @ DEAN & DELUCA

Very once in a while, my boyfriend and I have a big fight and on Friday night it happened... I threw the first punch because I knew he's quick with his fists, but that was my big mistake. He returned me double... Fuck!!! He is sometimes crazy. I know I am naggy but I always say he shouldn't behave violently. (Reason I punched him is because there was a text message from a girl who called him by his first name! I hate him receive that kind of text in front of me, even if she is a friend. I don't feel good, you know?! The girl should understand the situation, too. She shouldn't depend on him, keep in touch, or say she wants to see him!)

Anyway, I am okay now. I just got angry because it was after that thing. We went to DEAN & DELUCA for lunch the next day. Their new panini (tomato, basil, and mozzarella cheese) was simple and great! I loved it!!! Also, we shared the crab sandwich and jambalaya which we had before. Yummy! Simple but made us happy :) I took off my braces on that morning which I think made me eat things more happily!

BTW, on Friday night, we've been to a nice restaurant. I will post about it soon, but no one knows what makes us fight!

Watch out!!!

P.S.
It is sometimes good to write my complaint on my post to get rid of stress! I will try not to do so, though.

Pepsi Azuki

This is something really weird!!! Again, Suntory (Pepsi's distributor in Japan) released a crazy seasonal Pepsi drink: Pepsi Azuki! It's a Pepsi with sweet and mild azuki bean flavor. Can you imagine the taste?! Ew! But it didn't taste like I imagined. It was simply funny soda with funny flavor. Something like cheap sweets! Of course I couldn't finish a bottle, so I shared it with my co-workers.

BTW other seasonal Pepsi flavors I tried are Pepsi Blue Hawaii and Pepsi Shiso.

Have a good weekend :)

Chocolate with Rum

What kind of chocolate do you like the best? I know jo likes chocolate with macadamia nuts ;)

I love chocolate with rum!!!

Recently, I tried newly-released LOTTE's Specialite: rum cake flavored chocolate. It was really rummy and delicious!!! It's only 2 bucks per bar. I know it aggravates my acne, but a bite makes me happy, you know!

Tonight I have a hula class, which makes me even more happy! I want to get another pa'u skirt soon for a change.

Aloha :-)

Stress Causes Acne!

Too bad. I've got many small acnes on my face recently and realized that they were caused by stress!!! Believe it or not, I lost 8lbs in 2 months...

My boyfriend said I can use the milk soap to wash my face. SOAP?! Anyway, I tried many stuff and they didn't work, so maybe I can try this, too for a while. Also, I am taking Vitamin C, B, etc... Hope everything goes fine. But I know I need to remove my stress first of all!!! Please be settled, my honey. Ha-ha.

I think I should take things easy!

Yakiniku @ Gyu-Kaku

Do you know Yakiniku?
It means "grilled meat" and it commonly refers to a Japanese style of cooking bite-sized meat (usually beef and offal) and vegetables on gridirons or griddles over flame of wood charcoals carbonized by dry distillation (sumibi, 炭火) or gas/electric grill.

On Saturday, my boyfriend and I've been to Gyu-Kaku, where offers cheap and tasty beef! It has been more than 3 years since we last went there! Actually, I don't eat offal, so I had beef galbi and beef skirt. Wrapping it with Sanchu leaf, rice, miso, and mayonnaise was really delicious! It's their original way of eating yakiniku :)

We dine out twice a week, which might be too much, but there are many restaurants we want to go! I think jose understands me. He-he!

Nice weather outside! I haven't been to the GYM for 4 straight days, so I should go tonight! See you again :)

Hawaiian Restaurant: Tsunami

On Friday, my boyfriend and I finally went to the Hawaiian restaurant called Tsunami. What was amazing was their menu! They have so many wonderful dishes! We had natto salad, chili meat tacos, hot chicken satay, grilled chicken, and omelette curry. Their Hawaiian drinks were fabulicious! I loved Aloha-hai, which is Hawaiian tea with shochu.

The weather on this day was nice and warm, so we enjoyed our dinner outside. Their Hawaiian goods and music were really healing. My heart was filled with happiness :) I wish I could feel like this all the time. I hate ups and downs.

Peace!

Hokkaido Cheese Chocolate

Hi there!

My co-worker gave me something really weird!
It's Meiji's Hokkaido Cheese Chocolate.

Processed cheese ripened and produced in Hokkaido is knead into dough! It is a new style with soft and rich tastes.

What do you think of this cheese flavored chocolate?!
To tell the truth, you can hardly realize the cheese flavor but it tastes like cheese if you know that. Funny!

Have a good one!

Hakone

Finally! I am going to write about Monday the holiday. My boyfriend and I took a day trip to Hakone :) We knew we can easily get there by Romancecar (express train), but we have never used it, so we decided to go there once! It is about an hour and a half to get there from Shinjuku station. The train we took was an older model. My boyfriend was complaining about it. Ha-ha!!!

Our plan for this trip was to relax in a hot spring bath! We enjoyed simple alkaline hot spring at "Himeshara no yu". Outdoor hot spring bath was incredibly relaxing. I think I could refresh my body and soul for a moment. You know I am stressed out... Anyway, after that we enjoyed Begonia Garden. I took a shot of red Begonia with macro mode!

For lunch, we had soba at "Hatsuhana". Soba is said to be good in Hakone because the water there is clean! Hatsuhana serves soba made with yams and eggs. For full flavor, they boil the soba and dry before they serve! I had a cold soba with yam dipping sauce. My boyfriend had tempura soba. Both were great ;)

After lunch, we walked around the town. There were many stores where you can sample the souvenir food! Yummy :D Then we took a rest near the river. We still had loads of time, so we decided to take a local train to visit Kamaboko museum at Kazamatsuri station.

Kamaboko is a variety of Japanese processed seafood product, made from surimi, in which various white fish are pureed, combined with additives, formed into distinctive loaves, and then steamed until fully cooked and firm. At the museum, you can see, make and play with Kamaboko. We again sampled varieties of Kamaboko at stores! Yay ;) Also, we had a local black beer, which was deliciously refreshing!

The return train was a newer model. My boyfriend was happy with it. We bought Ekiben for dinner. Ekiben are railway boxed meals sold on trains and train stations. I think we ate all day long. Ha-ha!

I heard my co-worker has been to Hakone on the same day! She said she's been to Gora where you can enjoy beer tasting. There are many fun places around us. I should go out more often :D

Megami Festival in Jiyugaoka

On Sunday evening, my boyfriend took me to Jiyugaoka since he found a Megami (Goddess) Festival there on the website. The festival is held every year in October. It's the biggest festival of all in Jiyugaoka which hundreds of thousands of people come to enjoy! There is a main stage in front of the station. There are many stage performances such as concerts, character shows, hair cut shows, fashion shows, etc... all day long. Also, there are many shops and food stalls everywhere in the town. Since I prepared a dinner at home, we shared a glass of wine and "Megami Dog" which is a hot dog with a huge sausage! While having a bite, we watched hula dancing show from Hawaii!!! The weather was nice and calm, so we had a good walk in the afternoon.

Tomorrow, I will write about Monday (national holiday: Health-Sports Day). We took a day trip to Hakone!

See you again!!!

Roppongi Hills: Full-HD 3D and Rokuzo

On Saturday, my boyfriend and I went to Roppongi Hills. There was an interesting event where you can experience Panasonic's "Full-HD 3D"! We saw demo videos of Olympic games and movies. They were amazingly beautiful. I hope we can enjoy high-quality 3D images in our home soon!!! After watching them, we've got free samples of new Häagen-Dazs ice creams: Sweet Potato Pie and Truffe Chocolat. Yummy!!!

For dinner, we went to an Izakaya called "Rokuzo". They serve farm-fresh fish food! We enjoyed Fish Salad, Tuna and Scallion Kabobs, Mackerel Sushi, Salt Grilled Small Sea Bream and Hakata-Style Stone-Bowl Rice. They were all healthy and delicious. I'm glad to be born in Japan ;D

Okay, I will move on to the next post!
