Yesterday, I bought a great wine at a supermarket! It was sold at $12. My budget was under $10 but I'm glad I changed my mind! The wine was mellow and tasty. It was easy to drink! I'm not well versed in wine, but I know what I want, you know ;)
This weekend was busy again. I went to try on wedding dresses again... There are so many beautiful dresses that I now can't make a decision! Hmm... The image on the right is another $20 bucks dress that I bought at 109 the other day :D

On 1/6, 10th person has photo reported my Shimeji and Minced Meat Omelette. This is my mom's idea :D It goes great with white rice. Yummy!
On 1/15, my Colorful Healthy Dried Tofu Minced Meat Rice Bowl won the gold award at mannanhikari recipe contest again!!! Mannnanhikari is a rice shaped konjac food. By cooking the rice with mannanhikari, you can save calories (up to 30%)! I made minced meat using koyadofu (dried tofu) which also saves calories, too!
On 1/18, my Balsamic Tomato Ramen won 広東賞 (Canton award) at the contest using 中華三昧 (famous Chinese instant noodles in Japan). Balsamic vinegar nicely matches the flavor of soy sauce based soup!
On 1/20, my Sausage and Asparagus Stamppot Croquette won the grand prize at Dutch food contest. Stamppot is a typical traditional Dutch dinner (mashed potato mixed with other mashed vegetables). My darling loves croquette, so I arranged it! The tasting party was held in December in Hirado. I didn't attend the event, but it is nice to see people sampling my food. The prize was a hotel voucher of 国際観光ホテル旗松亭 in Hirado. I booked the hotel and plane tickets already, so my darling and I are going to travel there on 4/3 for my darling's birthday on 4/4!
On 1/21, 10th person has photo reported my Creamy Christmas Tree Salad.
On 1/22, I won the outstanding performance award at my special recipe contest. I entered my Colorful Minced Meat Simmered Potatoes. I used leftover vegetables to cook the dish colorful :D
On 1/24, my Pound Cake Sandwich was posted at cookpad's contest page. It was introduced as a sample Valentine's recipe using Philadelphia cream cheese.

When I make a short trip, I always carry too much luggage with me... so I am thinking of getting a wheeled carry on luggage! My darling says it's a waste of money, but I'm sure I can free my both hands! I'm torn between the hard and soft one. Maybe the hard one is better because it won't get dirty on a rainy day.

This weekend my darling and I went to my youngest sister's workplace. She waits at a cafe in the community center. I never wrote about my sisters but I have 2 younger sisters: 2 years and 10 years younger. The youngest sister is actually mentally-retarded. After she finished high school, she started to work at many different places to become socially independent. It was very nice to see her working hard :D The cake set menu was sold at a low price (450yen/$4.50) but was really huge and delicious!!! Their coffee was really good, too!

I loved to play Barbie when I was small. What my sis and I had were Jenny dolls. We wanted Licca, but somehow all dolls were Jenny because our Santa (my dad) couldn't tell the difference between two... Ha-ha. A big difference between them is the height. Licca is smaller than Jenny. Why can't he get Licca!!!!!!! Anyway, now Jenny is discontinued, so I'm glad that we played with her!
On Saturday, my darling and I went to a different salon to try on wedding dresses again! Don't laugh! Just for fun, I tried on a Barbie dress :D BTW, here we found really nice dress and tuxedo for New York photo wedding at a great rental value! We made a snap decision! Also, all dresses were my taste, so I enjoyed playing dress-up! Amazingly, the lady who assisted my fitting used to live in Harrison (New York), where I used to live!!! What a small world!!!

Robert Mondavi is an American wine. My dad bought it when he went on a business trip. Remember it or not, I posted the image on my Year-End Eatings post without any comment on this ;P It was very smooth and easy to drink!

How far do you use tubed products?! Me?! I use them like this... I cut the top of the tube and use the snack bag clip to close up! You put in your finger to use. If you can't reach the content, you cut the tube again! What do you think?!
It's snowing today. I took a picture on the way to the station. Can you see the snow on the trees?! My darling looks happy :D Anyway, it will stop snowing this afternoon.

On Valentine's day, my high school friend Miho sent me a beautiful handmade preserved flower arrangement as a wedding present (I received it yesterday since I couldn't make time to receive it from the deliverer). She said she chose these colors for me :D What a perfect choice!!! I really like this fuchsia pink color, you know!

Yesterday was a busy Valentine's day. I had to cook recipes for deadlines... In addition to handmade chocolates, I gave my darling budonoki's famous char-grilled chocolates. Each piece costs 300yen (3 bucks), so I haven't tasted them. The round one is rose champagne, and the heart one is sweet-sour strawberry. I hope he liked them ;D I wore the clothes I bought at 109 the other day!
Last night, we've been to Koumibou again to eat Chinese food since my dad came back from China during the CNY holidays :D OMG, how expensive the food is... this tiny sharks' fin (right bottom image) was $30 per dish... stir fried yellow chive (right top image) was $18 per dish. Of course we ordered only one each and shared. Anyway, we enjoyed more than 10 different kinds of Chinese foods! Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of all...

Last night, my darling and I went to eat dinner at an izakaya restaurant called KICHIRI. On the menu, we found a strange food called "よだれ鶏" which means "mouth water chicken"... (the left top image) I first couldn't believe the naming and laughed with my darling, but now by searching the Net, I found it actually was a traditional Chinese food called "口水鶏"!!!
BTW, yesterday was a busy day! I really wanted to shop at Shibuya 109 since I haven't been there for 3 months, so I went there to find new clothes before the wedding dress fitting. Luckily many of the winter clothes were sold at 1,000yen (10 bucks) or 70% off , so I spent only 15,000yen ($150) to get 10 items :D What a great deal!!!
