Love Heart Cutlet

My darling loves fried pork cutlet. He also loves sausage! So, I combined them together and made cute bite-size heart-shaped cutlets.

Don't you think they make your table happy?!

Try out ;)

---------------------------------
Love Heart Cutlet

Difficulty: Easy
Time: 15min
Number of servings: 6 cutlets

Ingredients:
6 thinly sliced pork
6 sausage
salt and cracked black pepper
A
* flour
* beaten egg
* Panko (bread crumbs)
vegetable oil for frying
B
* 2 tbsp. ketchup
* 1 tsp. whole-grain mustard
* 1 tbsp. white wine vinegar
tomato wedges
cabbage strips
watercress if available

Directions:
1. Work with one slice of pork at a time. Place the slice of pork so that the length of it is running flat and vertically towards you. Sprinkle a bit of salt and cracked black pepper onto one side and place the sausage on the end of the pork close to you and start rolling diagonally to cover the sausage. Repeat with the remaining pork slices and sausage.

2. Cut the rolls diagonally, join the cut sides reversely, and join them with toothpicks to look like hearts.

3. Flour the rolls, dip in beaten egg, then roll in panko. Fry them in oil at 170C (340F) until cooked golden brown.

4. Remove the toothpicks. Mix B well. Serve cutlets with B, tomato wedges, cabbage strips, and watercress if available.

Younger is Smarter

It is raining today in Tokyo after a month!

I recently saw on TV that the younger siblings are smarter. Do you think it's true? Yeah... probably. Because I have two young sisters and they are obviously good at depending on mom and dad. Can't stand watching them sometimes, but honestly... In a bad expression, they are irresponsible, but I envy them in that way sometimes.

When I was small, I complained it to my mom, but she never understood what I meant, or maybe she did but there was no way to change that situation because that is their natural behavioral tendency.

Anyway, now I left home for more than 10 years. I work with elders. Also my darling is older than me. I just realized how my sisters feel and why they act like such... Yeah, less responsibility is the cause... I hate being such since my basic idea hasn't changed but I feel more relaxed in elders...

I hope I can learn to live smart, but that requires a lot of training. Ha-ha!!!

By the way, my darling is the eldest, too. I see his brother smarter than him. Same at any household!

Are you the oldest sibling?
What do you think?!

Microwave Cookies (Metric Cup Measurement)

Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 15min
Number of servings: 24 cookies

Note:
1cup = 250ml or 250cc

Ingredients:
1/2cup = 125ml butter (softened) *100g (3.5oz.)
1/4cup = 62.5ml granulated sugar
1 egg
1cup = 250ml cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4cup = 62.5ml chocolate chips

Directions:
1. Beat butter and sugar until creamy, add egg and mix well.
2. Sift cake flour and baking powder in 1. and mix well. Add chocolate chips and mix well again.
3. Drop 4 cookie dough at a time by tablespoon onto parchment paper on microwavable plate or tray. *You don't want to burn your plate, so please line with the parchment paper.
4. Microwave at 500w for 3min (or less or more depending on the heat of your microwave). Repeat the steps 3 & 4 to complete the rest. *It is safe to test from 1 min to see how they come out. Microwave bakes the cookies from inside, so if they are baked golden brown, they are burned X(

*You can also bake them in an oven at 180C (350F) for 15 minutes.
