My Accomplishments

Here are my accomplishments in April.

I'm glad I do have some to post since I didn't have enough time to apply for the contests in March because we moved...

The first one was actually the award from 2/15. The result was recently released on the web. My Healthy Steamed Okonomiyaki using a lots of cabbage and grated yam won the grand prize!!! It was a contest to use the silicon microwave steamer (silicon tools are now popular in Japan). I
thought Okonomiyaki is too simple so I'm glad it was accepted :D

On 4/8, my Tuna Mayonnaise Kelp Rice Bowl won a prize at the kelp recipe contest. I used salt flavored kelp, which really makes food tasty and goes good with rice!!! My darling loves this kind ;)



On 4/15, my Okara Dashi Mayo Salad was published in the spring catalog of Kamada (dashi soy sauce products manufacturer). Okara is a bean curd refuse which is very healthy and low in calories. I love it but my darling doesn't like this kind of hard-to-swallow rough food. So I marinated it with mayonnaise and dashi soy sauce like a potato salad and he liked it in this way :D

On 4/15 my Healthy Black Soy Smoothie received a honorable mention at soy milk recipe contest. I love soy milk that I don't even drink a milk these days. I'm glad I'm gonna receive soy milk for a month as a prize. hehe

On 4/23, my Sausage TarTar Rolls won the Primaham Award. I gotta try this contest again since I never won the higher prize at this contest even I think my recipe is good... LoL

PIPICA BODY WASH

My darling hates when I buy something pink and cute for the things we share. So, that's why I don't get any girly pink body wash or shampoo... of course no pink furniture at home!

However, if it comes to penguin or any kind of "birds", my darling agrees to buy it without question! haha

This penguin holds something like iPhone, so this might be an additional factor for his decision. LoL

Pink Bunny Hello Kitty

I bought a new Pink Bunny Hello Kitty cell charm!



Do you remember my Pink Jeweled Eyes Hello Kitty? After only 5 months, it really got dirty like a duster as expected X(



So I bought a new one! I know it's white face will get dirty in a snap, but I liked it :D

As My Hun Sees Me… LOL

Tonight, we've been to a new shopping malls in Futakotamagawa: Rise and Dogwood Plaza. They both were clean and gorgeous but most things were pricey so we just enjoyed window-shopping :P

For dinner, we found yakitori izakaya (skewered chicken restaurant) called 鶏厨くし (Torizukushi). As a starter, I ordered grapefruit sour which is 焼酎 (sho-chu) based cocktail that I need to squeeze the grapefruit by myself. My darling helped me, of course ;)



And then my darling said he's gonna take my pic but I wasn't ready… as you can see I was busy picking the grapefruit pulp. haha



Here we go!



It is funny I am always like this in front of him!!!

Their yakitori was pretty delicious!!! I hate liver but I tried a piece from my darling's and found it pretty good!!!

Royal Wing Lunch Cruise in Yokohama

Today my darling and I went to Yokohama and enjoyed a Royal Wing Lunch Cruise - 飲茶 (dim sum)! My mom gave us the free lunch tickets while ago ;) hehe



After lunch, there was a balloon sculpture demonstration.



They took our pics with my camera, which was pretty kind :D



Then we shopped around, so my feet are tired X( But luckily we found a great sofa for our new home!!!

BTW, thanks for the comments on my previous posts! I will write back later for sure!!! And I know I am behind the video creation, but I will soon post the next one after the GW holidays ;)

GRANDBERRY MALL and WIRED KITCHEN

Today, my darling and I went shopping at GRANDBERRY MALL as planned!

I wore a dress from one spo which I bought yesterday! It's my recent favorite brand XD



Unfortunately, I didn't find anything special at the mall but cute underwear. hehe

We then had a dinner at WIRED KITCHEN.





They serve Hawaiian style dishes with a lot of veggies. I love them!!!

Just Because Pink x Hello Kitty

I now used all of my face-wash and was looking for a new one. I finally bought Rosette Hello Kitty cleansing wash and collagen wash that have been on my mind for a long time. I don't know how good these are but just because Pink x Hello Kitty :P

Yes! Today I did a lot of shopping at Shibuya 109 and drug stores after a looong while :D I shopped for about 4 hours. whew! And I bought many clothes at a discount of half-price. Lucky me!!!

Pasta Pomodoro with Home-Made Basil

My mom gave my darling a planter of basil for his belated birthday gift. I don't know why she gave him the basil, but my darling liked it :)



Today, he picked some leaves, so I cooked pasta pomodoro with basil for lunch!



Yummy :P

We once tried to grow tomatoes and other veggies in our garden of old home but they were all eaten by locusts, so I'm not that positive about growing something but at least we can keep this pot in home, I hope we have no problem!

Buso Marathon and RAKERU Lunch

This morning, my darling and I completed 10km (6 miles) Buso Marathon! At the end, we received a certificate, which is cool :D



Maybe we can try a half marathon (20km) someday!

For lunch, we had omurice at RAKERU. suki told me their omurice is good and was true in Japan, too! I ordered very refreshing omurice with grated radish on top and my darling ordered omurice with demi sauce! Both were rich in taste and not at all fatty because they use healthy egg called Yodoran (Hikari brand of iodine-enriched eggs) which I always use for my cooking and contests :D



My darling is having a nap, so I am blogging. hehe

Juicy Tender Simmered Eggplant - Video Recipe

I thank to all my friends who watched my videos. I know it is hard and takes time to generate traffic but I want to focus more on the content as usual like I write my blog posts! Anyways, it is a day-long project to complete one simple video recipe, so I wish I could get used to it soon!!!

BTW, starting from tomorrow till 5/8, we are having Golden Week holiday (GW) in Japan. It's a large consecutive holiday containing public holidays.

Tomorrow my darling and I are going to participate in a 10km (6 miles) marathon!

And yes! I already have a list of places where we (I) want to go during the holiday :D
- Royal Wing Lunch Cruise - My mom gave me free tickets! It's been a while to go Yokohama.
- Shibuya 109 - I haven't been there for ages X(
- Rise Shopping Center - Newly opened huge mall in Futakotamagwa!
- Daiso or Can Do - I gotta make sure if I can get what I want at a dollar before I spend too much. LoL
- Grandberry Mall - It's an outlet!
and so on…

Char-Grilled Anago

I think some of you now know that I'm crazy about Anago (conger eel)!



My grandpa used to catch tons of Anago and char-grilled them for us. I remember I ate more than ten of them at once! mmm yummy!!!

But things had changed and just before my grandpa passed away, people were banned to catch Anago. (It's pretty expensive to buy at stores...)

Anyways, char-grilled ones are the best! Unlike eel, Anago is not at all greasy! So, I love it!

I just received them as a gift! I think it is the perfect gift for me. hehe

So far, I am very satisfied with my Incipio MacBook Pro 15in Feather Ultralight Hard Shell Case!





It really keeps my spirits up while working :)
