Ankake Yakisoba (Fried Noodles with Thick Savory Sauce Recipe) | Japanese Cooking Video

Crisp brown fried noodles with a thick savory sauce with a lot of meat and vegetables. It is a very popular Japanese dish, served as a school lunch as well.



You can add seafood if you like. You can use any vegetables available in your fridge. Take it easy. It is a delicious lifesaver dish super quick to prepare 👍

Ankake Yakisoba (Fried Noodles with Thick Savory Sauce Recipe)

Number of servings: 2 servings

Ingredients:
2 servings Yakisoba noodles
150g (5.2oz.) thin sliced pork
150g (5.2oz.) baby bok choy
150g (5.2oz.) vegetables of your choice (onion, bean sprouts, carrot, mushrooms, etc...)
* 1 tsp. chicken broth powder
* 2 tsp. oyster sauce
* 1 tsp. soy sauce
salt and pepper
cooking oil
1 tbsp. Katakuriko (corn starch is ok)
1 tsp. sesame oil

Directions:
1. Cut the meat and vegetables into bite-size pieces.
2. Heat 1 tbsp. of cooking oil in a frying pan and cook the noodles 3 minutes each on both sides until crisp golden. Place them on serving plates.
3. Heat 1 tbsp. of cooking oil in a frying pan and cook the meat until crisp golden. Add the vegetables and cook until tender. Add 1 US cup (240ml) of water, then add chicken broth powder, oyster sauce, and soy sauce.
4. Bring to a boil, stop the heat, and add starch diluted with double the amount of water. Heat again until thick. Stop the heat and finish with sesame oil. Season with salt and pepper if needed. 
5. Cover the noodles with Ankake sauce to serve.

Tamagoyaki Sandwich (Japanese Egg Omelette Sando) | Japanese Cooking Video Recipe

Tamagoyaki is Japanese rolled omelette. In this recipe I will share with you how to make it using a microwave. In this way you can make nice and yellow Tamagoyaki without burning it.

Tamagoyaki Sandwich (Japanese Egg Omelette Sando) Recipe

Number of servings: 2 servings

Ingredients:
4 eggs
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. Dashi powder
2 tbsp. water
2 slices of bread
1 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 tsp. Karashi mustard if you like

Directions:
1. Put eggs, soy sauce, Dashi powder, and water in a bowl and mix well. Strain to make it smooth and look beautiful.
2. Place the egg mixture in a square microwavable container. Lightly cover with plastic wrap and microwave on medium (500w) for 2 minutes. Mix, cover again with plastic wrap, and microwave on medium (500w) for another 2 minutes.
3. When it is warm enough to handle, remove from the container and wrap with plastic wrap to shape it nice and square, then cool completely.
4. Remove the crusts. Apply some mayonnaise (and mustard if you like). Place Tamagoyaki between 2 slices of bread. Cut to serve.

Yakisoba Pan (Japanese Stir-Fried Noodles in a Hot Dog Bun Recipe) | Japanese Cooking Video

Yakisoba Pan is a very popular and typical bun in Japan. It is obviously a High-Carb food. Many people love to eat it for lunch or snack! You can put more veggies and/or more meat to balance out the intake of your choice.

Yakisoba Pan (Japanese Stir-Fried Noodles in a Hot Dog Bun Recipe)


Difficulty: Easy
Time: 15min
Number of servings: 4~6 servings

Ingredients:
100g(3.5oz) thin sliced pork or sausages
100g(3.5oz) vegetables of your choice (cabbage, bean sprouts, carrot, green pepper, etc...)
1 tsp. cooking oil
salt and pepper
1 serving Yakisoba noodles
2 tbsp. Tonkatsu sauce or Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce
1 tsp. soy sauce
4-6 hot dog buns *depending on size
butter, mayonnaise, and/or mustard
Aonori (green laver)
Benishoga (Red Pickled Ginger)

Directions:
1. Cut the meat and vegetables into small pieces.
2. Heat cooking oil in a frying pan and cook the vegetables until tender.
3. Add the meat, and cook until no longer pink, then season with salt and pepper.
4. Add the Yakisoba noodles (cut short, easy to eat).
5. Season with Tonkatsu sauce and soy sauce, then stop the heat.
6. Split the top of the bun, apply some butter, mayonnaise, and/or mustard.
7. Place Yakisoba and top with Aonori and Benishoga if you like.
