Aomori Nebuta Matsuri @ Baji Kouen

Hi! How was your weekend?!

Aomori Nebuta Matsuri is a summer festival in Aomori prefecture that takes place from 8/2 to 8/7. My boyfriend found the festival on his way to work by bus in our neighborhood (in Tokyo, Setagaya), so we went there for fun! There were a lot of food stalls! I don't prefer to drink beer, but the beer there was delicious! The mutton barbecue (jingiskan) and the grilled beef sausage went great with the chilled beer! Oh, by the way, I wore the scrunchy I got from my friend ;)

Then at night, we tried the Kaiten-zushi (conveyor belt sushi) restaurant nearby where we wanted to go for a long time! Of course I ordered anago (conger eel). It was great! But overall, the restaurant was so-so for the price. Ha-ha! We had a good time, though ;)

Oops, I gotta go now!!!
See you again :D

  1. Hi Ochi,

The festival look fun! Your dress is so cute, and your scrungy too!

You must really like conger eel, like I like lobster and shrimp! :)

  2. Hi jo,

    This was quick ;)

Yes, I love conger eel. It is about 10 bucks per piece, but I really want to try it out at any sushi restaurant. Ha-ha!

Actually, my best was this one!

I love lobster and shrimp, too. There is Red Lobster in Japan, so I should go there someday!!!
