The New Starbucks Logo

I finally got a chance to post about this! Did you already read about the news (on Jan 5th, 2011) that Starbucks would make a change to their company's logo, removing the Starbucks word-mark around the siren and enlarging the siren image itself from this coming spring?!



Are they just bringing everyone to the attention of their 40th anniversary (as a start) because of the economic slowdown?!

I know we can get used to it after a while, but I don't like this change since the new logo is not that eye-catching... I prefer it framed in the word-mark! or, I wish they don't serve bitter coffee anymore...

    Ochi,

    I think I have the same thinking too.I more prefer logo with words.At least I will know what is the logo all about.

    I don't think I will go search for the logo's brand on net,if I don't know Starbucks.

    Hi jose,

    I believe most people now know what Starbucks is but if they change the logo, some people might not realize a new starbucks product with it's logo. I simply think it's a risk without the word-mark, too...

    The way i heard about this was seeing the illustration about the green dot being the end result years from now. HAHAHA! i love that! I'm not really big on Starbucks... if i go, i only have the Frappucinnos b/c the coffees are too bitter for me =/

    Btw, ochi i need your help w/ something... what is the best way to correspond w/ you? email?

    Hahaha omg the "predicted" logos are so funny! But I don't like the new logo, I really like their original logo with the mermaid! What do you drink when you go to starbucks? OI usually have a caramel macchiato with extra caramel but I only like one shot of expresso or else it is too strong! My hun love the strawberry frappacino! hahaha so girly =P
