NO EGG Vegan Matcha Green Tea Banana Ice Cream - Video Recipe

NO egg, NO ice cream machine needed!!!
Banana gives a rich flavor and thick texture like an ice cream.

You can of course use an ice cream machine to save time ;)

NO EGG Vegan Matcha Green Tea Banana Ice Cream

Difficulty: easy
Time: 15min + freezing time
Number of servings: 6

Necessary Equipment:
electric mixer

200ml soy whipping cream or vegan whipping cream
* 180g (6.3oz.) banana
* 150ml soy milk
* 4 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. Matcha green tea powder

1. Add the same amount of hot water to Matcha powder and mix well with a spoon.
2. Put A and 1. in a blender (mixer) and process until smooth.
3. Whip soy or vegan whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
4. Mix 2. and 3., then freeze for about 2 hours. Mix with a spoon and freeze again. Repeat this mix and freeze method for about 3 times, then freeze overnight. Put out from the freezer 10 minutes before you serve.


Summer is over here in Japan. We have nice and cool autumn weather.

I miss summer but I love autumn. hehe

  2. Wow! Love love love Green tea ice cream. I will def make it because it looks simple enough although I think I'll leave the banana out of it.

    My daughter absolutely loves green tea too. I recently introduced her to Green Tea Dorayaki (Doraemon's favourite snack?) and everytime we pass by a japanese shop, she'll ask me for the Green Tea Dorayaki. Do you have a recipe for it too? Is it easy to make? The best ones I had was from Umai (Japan Centre shop here) - where the green tea filling also has some Azuki beans.

  7. well... it depends on the ingredients (brand) you use~ so maybe you can add up and divide to find out how much :)
