On the weekend, we again had a dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant "Mia Angela". The restaurant uses farm fresh ingredients from Hokkaido and cook them in the Italian way!As usual, we shared dishes ;) Farm Fresh Vegetable Bagna Càuda, Oyster and Pancetta tomato spaghetti, Deep Fried Shima-Ebi Shrimp and Calamari, and of course Risotto Parmigiano!!!
As you might now know, I used to dislike oysters, but there, I could eat them! The oysters at Mia Angela are grown up on KELP! No wonder they're good!
And speaking of wine, Basilium Acherun Aglianico Del Vulture 2005 was today's special. I think there are many good Italian wines this year! It's a 5-year aged fragrant red wine! Tastes like ripe cassis. Very fruity and spicy vintage wine. It went well with all foods we ordered ;)Tonight, we are going to celebrate our first marital anniversary :D We have so many eating-outs in the year-end! Hope not get pig X(
Tomorrow is a holiday (Labor Thanksgiving Day) again!
See ya!!!

What a nice weekend! I love italian food and it's so nice that you guys share dishes! :P I'm not really a big fan of oysters but maybe if i tried one that was made in a good way, i would like it! :P
ReplyDeleteHi dear, ur weekend sounds delicious, esp the Deep Fried Shima-Ebi Shrimp and Calamari dish. yummmms.... i love deepfried food n definitely am also a seafood addict! im not a huge fan of risotto but way that risotto parmigiano is cooked is very innovative, and makes me curious. wanna have a mouthful of it! i dislike oysters but the boyfren loves it heaps, so once in a blue blue blue blue moon, we'll order oysters as entrees.
ReplyDeletei know what u mean about lots of eating outs @ the end of the year! the boy n myself, we tend to do that too. as the year progresses, i kind of get lazier n lazier to cook >_<

Hi jose,
ReplyDeleteItalian restaurants here run the gamut! There are real cheap restaurants but they are not that good... I feel better to cook at home if I am paying for cheap Italians!!! or, go for Japanese food!!!
Hi Kym,
ReplyDeleteYes, we always share because I want to try many kinds! I hope you can try out good oysters!!! Good ones don't smell :D
Hi mica,
ReplyDeleteYes... mostly we eat out on holidays because I get lazier... as you know! But on Sundays, I cook at home. hehe. I think for me, I'd better work than having a day off, because we keep on eating!!!
What a nice weekend. Yum!
