DECO CHOCO

Hi there!

On Sunday, my sister gave me a box of chocolates.
Don't you think it cool?!
Our picture is printed on each piece! After you ate them, you can re-use the chocolate wrappers for your original cell-phone charms or magnets!

TIROL-CHOCO is a manufacturer of cute and cheap square chocolates. Their collection is here. Mostly, you can find them at the cash register. This printed version is called DECO CHOCO (it stands for Chocolate Decoration). What a smart idea! I'm gonna order more for my return gifts or something :D

On Saturday evening, after 3 weeks, we finally went on a restaurant wedding tour in Daikanyama. The shopping mall near the restaurant was illuminated romantically! I will write about the restaurant tomorrow if I get a chance!

It's getting cold, so my boyfriend was sneezing all day long yesterday. I hope he didn't catch a cold.

Take care!!!
Wash your hands and gargle frequently!!!

Tonkatsu @ Keitei

This is something about last Monday, the holiday (Labor Thanksgiving Day). My boyfriend and I've been to Futako-Tamagawa to take some time out to relax. On this day, I finally bought a new notebook for 2010! We were thinking of having a cup of coffee at Starbucks but there were so many people on this day (since it was a sunny holiday) that we couldn't find a seat! So, we decided to go to Afternoon Tea :) There was a line but we could be seated sooner. Their set menu was cool! You can pick 3 cakes with a cup of tea of your choice! I chose an apple pie, pumpkin pudding, and Camembert cheesecake with cranberry apple tea. My boyfriend chose a green herb tea! We shared the cakes. They were delicate and delicious! I took time and write my notebook and my boyfriend was reading Kindle. We both had a good time.

Then for dinner, we had Tonkatsu at Keitei. I haven't written about the restaurant before, but we've been here for many times since my boyfriend loves tonkatsu. Tonkatsu is a pork cutlet. It's a popular dish in Japan. At Keitei, you can get 4 different kinds of tsukemono (Japanese pickles), rice, cabbage, and tonjiru (pork miso soup) along with the cutlet! You can have free refills on tsukemono, rice and cabbage!!!

While eating, we always talk happily about anything. But last night, we had a fight again... He went out for a drink before he came home and he slept right after without any conversation!!! I was waiting for him to talk about things we need to lay out, so I got out of temper and said he's unenterprising! Then he shouted and said he wants to sleep! Can you believe it?! I really want to say he needs to do his best to get up and at least listen to my story... Or, do I need to wait until the next dinner time together?! I don't know what he's thinking and what's his priority.

Anyway, good news! I received the result of the physical and everything was fine. I mean, my blood cholesterol levels were reduced!!! To tell the truth, it was rising year by year and I was kind of worried, but since I started to go to the GYM everyday, it drastically improved to normal!!! I truly think effort will be rewarded.

I would say to myself, never give up, for anything!

It's nice and warm outside!
Gonna shop new clothes after work because I can't find anything to wear! jose knows why! He-he ;)

Roll Cake @ le poupelin

This is something about Tuesday.

As a wedding present, I had le poupelin's roll cake (Swiss roll) at work. They use only egg, sugar and flour to bake the sponge cake and use high quality fresh cream for the filling! BTW, roll cake is a popular cake sold in Japan. Something like cheesecake or angel food cake in the US.

Simple is best!

The sponge cake was soft and the cream was silky, smooth and delicious. Perfect sweetness! Not that sweet at all!
Mmmmmmmm Yummy! I could eat a whole roll :P

I am eating a cake almost every day!!!

Need to work out!

Louis Roederer Champagne: Brut Premier

The night before the marriage, we made a toast with Louis Roederer's premium champagne called Brut Premier!

Louis Roederer is a Champagne producer based in Reims, France. Founded in 1776, it was inherited and renamed by Louis Roeder in 1833, and is noted as the producer of the luxury champagne Cristal.

I ordered it last month from a gift catalog which I got it at work.
Innocuously, I was thinking of getting rice but my boyfriend chose this champagne since we will never get it by ourselves! It comes with two glasses and costs $100 (10,000yen) at stores.

The champagne was refreshing and gorgeous!!!
Surprisingly, we could drink a whole bottle of 750ml!!!
Sometimes okay ;)

We finally have sunshine today.
I'm wearing my down overcoat everyday since the forecast kept on saying it will be freezing, but I don't feel the cold yet!

Have a good day!!!

We Just Got MARRIED!!!

On November 22nd, we filed our marriage paper!!!

In Japan, 11/22 is a good married couple day. We read (as phonetic equivalent) 11 "ii" which means "good" and 22 "fu-fu" which means "married couple". Very simple, but we will never forget this date ;)

In the evening, my family threw us a surprise party at Yoga Club (dogs okay restaurant). Milk (our dog) came to celebrate us, too. Along with dinner, we had Mommessin's Beaujolais Nouveau. I think this brand is quite a hit this year! It was refreshing but tasty. We all liked it!

Milk also had a cake. We tried it before he ate. It wasn't sweet at all. The cream part was potato. The bottom part was a carrot cake with cinnamon flavor. We all thought the carrot part is edible. Ha-ha!

Anyway, thanks for your support!
We have lived together for 6 years, so nothing changes as husband and wife, but I am really happy now. I think all things happened between us are meaningful. I want to keep ALOHA in my heart and cherish our time together forever!

We will be happy :D

Beaujolais Nouveau 2009

Have you tried Beaujolais Nouveau 2009 already?

It is young and sour but not that bad ;D
I love refreshing wines, so I drink it every year.
Plus, it's an annual event, so I enjoy drinking it!

My boyfriend had a drinking session last night but he bought it for me.
We had a glass of wine before we go to bed.
Maybe this is why I couldn't wake up this morning...

It is freezing again today!
Monday is a holiday (Labor Thanksgiving Day).
Three days off in a row! Yay!!!

Need to create new recipes, though :P

See you next week!!!

Pink Christmas Tree

Time flies. Christmas is right around the corner!!! Streets in Tokyo are decorated with Christmas trees and lighting. People are looking for Christmas presents already.

Last Saturday, I found a cute pink Christmas tree in front of the department store (Printemps) in Ginza. I took a pic of it and using it for my iPhone background. You know I love pink color ;)

It is cold and raining today. But now is the best season to feel the warmth of your partner. He-he ;)

Hula again tonight.

ALOHA!!!

P.S. Finally! I hope I replied to all comments. Thanks :D

Yummy Chinese Restaurant: Benitoragyozabou

The weather today is chilly but nice with blue sky!

Last Saturday, before the movies, my boyfriend and I had a dinner at a Chinese restaurant called "Benitoragyozabou". The restaurant serves foods with the common touch. We didn't order it on this day, but their popular menu is "Teppan Bou(Stick) Gyoza". What we had were Chicken Banbanji (棒棒鳥), Shrimp Spring Rolls (海老春巻), Jumbo Gyoza (大餃子), Shoronpo (小籠包), and Beef And Black Sesame Fried Rice (牛肉黒胡麻炒飯). All dishes were delicious! I would love to go back there again to try out other foods! Jasmine tea bassed alcohol drink called Matsurika (末莉花) was great, too! I loved it's flowery relaxing aroma :D

I am really busy these days, keep forgetting things I should do, even I wrote them on my notebook... Hmm...

BTW, on Monday, since I received 1000th photo report, there were about 60 thousand visitors on my page at Cookpad. Somehow, I received many complaints about the way I post my recipes. Shit!!!

Take it easy!

THIS IS IT

Have you seen this movie already???

THIS IS IT

If not, you must to!!!
OMG! He's such a great artist! Creative genius! Magnetic performer!
I'm not his fan, but the movie was AMAZING!!!

My boyfriend and I just happened to find it was screened at the theater on Saturday while walking Ginza. Unfortunately, the show in Japan will end on this Wednesday. I'm glad we had a chance to see it on the big screen.

I'm still way behind on replies... Busy these days, but for sure, I will catch up!

LOVE

P.S. Tomorrow, I will write about yummy Chinese we had on this day ;)

Only Minerals

Hi! It's raining and cold again.

Have you ever tried mineral foundation?!
Recently, I switched my foundation from liquid to powder since I realized that my acne gets worse by using the liquid one. Taking this opportunity, I decided to get the mineral one! Liquid covers well, though.

Only Minerals foundation is high quality, 100% mineral-based foundation produced by a Japanese company called YA-MAN. I don't do it, but you can sleep with it! I've used it for 2 weeks and seems like my acne is recovering. The foundation covers well, so I think I'm gonna use it for a while. Anyway, I am so fool that I have used the liquid for 6 months to ruin my skin X(

BTW, yesterday, Digital Marketing Next 2009 was not that interesting. Most exhibitors were poor at explaining their products. But I enjoyed the seminars. Cookpad's (recipe site's) WOM seiminar was quite interesting since I use the site every day ;)

Okey-dokey! I gotta go now.

See you on Monday!!!
